Men’s Blessing Bags

Often men wait for hours outside of West Alabama Women’s Center for the women they brought to finish their appointments.  Sometimes the sidewalk counselors/advocates have the opportunity to talk to these men.     It is nice to have a little something to give them to show that we care and to provide them with some helpful numbers and words of truth.

The Men’s Blessing Bags consist of a brochure sized bag, a pamphlet called “Myths, Men, and Abortion”, a Choices Pregnancy Clinic card/brochure, and a little treat.  In the bags pictured below,  we included a roll of Life Savers.  Any hard candy (or candies) would be fine, but we thought Life Savers would be a nice reminder to these men of the potential influence they have for either life or death.

Candy for 100 bags ~ $50.00 (here is just one example, but candy can be found anywhere, possible for cheaper)
