The Fuller Craft Museum offers exhibitions showcasing the power of craft in people’s lives. It is located about 40 minutes outside of Boston, Massachusetts and welcomes more than 20,000 visitors per year. This extremely well regarded museum showcases a broad range of craft, including the work of studio artists, community crafters, amateur crafters and hobbyists, and fine-crafters of national/international renown.
This exhibit will feature the handicraft/handwork of pro-life crafting. Tuscaloosa Prolife Advocates (that’s YOU if you love & respect LIFE) have been asked to contribute their craft so through this exhibit we can share with the larger craft world how handwork can make a positive difference in people’s lives.
The deadline for crafting submissions is December 31, 2020 (you can ignore the submission date on the PDF) with the exhibition scheduled for April 10 – June 5, 2021.
All handwork will be returned by mail following the close of the exhibition. Groups and individuals can submit up to three pieces. Pieces must have a conservatively aligned prolife message that is clearly expressed on either the handcraft itself or made apparent through a brief “label copy”. All pieces must be textile based (such as yarn, fabric, embroidery, etc) and accompanied by a “label copy” (a very short paragraph that is displayed on the wall next to the handwork) that explains who created the pieces and why (first name only is fine). Please consider contributing to this exciting exhibit! For more details, please read the fine print of the exhibit rules here. For more information, contact Hinda Mandell, hbmgpt@rit.edu .
Thanks for caring about LIFE!
